Just when you thought it was safe to say that Brett Favre was finally retired, just when you thought the rumors, speculation and Favre to Vikings talks were over the future hall of fame quarterback signs with the Minnesota Vikings for two years for $11-12 million dollars. Not a bad pay day for a 40 year old quarterback.
Brett Favre isn’t the only high profile quarterback to get back in the NFL recently in surprising fashion as Michael Vick agreed to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles a little more than a week ago. No one saw that coming, everyone knew Vick was on the verge of signing with some NFL team, but no one knew which team would actually be the team to take a chance on the troubled superstar quarterback.
I can say this, despite Michael Vick and Brett Favre’s flare to grab headlines in a not so positive light, the additions of both these extremely entertaining quarterbacks will without a doubt make the NFL that much more interesting in the upcoming season which is just around the corner. The real question is which team has a better chance in making something happen in the NFC, the Minnesota Vikings or the Philadelphia Eagles. That remains to be seen, but it will be doubt fun to watch this season.
Not only will this signing of Brett Favre shake up the almost always underdog NFC and the entire NFL, but with Favre joining the Vikings this will also have a profound effect on sports betting and bets on sports around the country as betting odds will almost certainly change in sportsbooks and sports betting forum in favor of the Minnesota Vikings having a chance at winning the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl.
